About Me

I’m Stella and I have been a music teacher for over 15 years. I have been playing the piano since I was four, so music has always been a large part of my life. I am passionate about helping students achieve their goals and watching them progress! Many of my students have studied with me for several years, so I find it extremely rewarding to watch it their talent grow and their skills develop.

I hold the ABRSM Board Certificate of Teaching and a diploma in piano performance as well as Grade 8 in music theory and Grade 8 Organ Performance qualifications.

I am a member of the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA) who offer teachers guidance and support, particularly in relation to the current COVID 19 requirements on safety and also offer continuous professional development opportunities as do the Australian based Piano Teaching Success whose  resources  and Whole Body Learning Strategies are regularly used in my lessons and of which I am a Studio member.   I am also a member of the UK based Curious Piano Teachers founded by Dr. Sally Cathcart whose early years Ready to Play series is invaluable for younger beginners.

I hold an appropriate First Aid certificate approved by the Health and Safety(First Aid) regulations 1981

Performance Opportunities

About: What's Happening

Our Charity Concerts

I host bi-annual charity concerts in aid of When You Wish Upon A Star. All students are invited to perform several pieces of music to an audience. These concerts build students’ confidence and assist in developing key performance skills.

When You Wish Upon A Star is a charity which has a simple mission, to grant the wishes of children living with a life threatening illness. Over the years I have been hosting concerts, we have raised over £5000!
Thank you all for your generous support.

Development activities for students

I enter students for formal examinations when they are ready if that is their goal.  However other opportunities are available for them to set goals and achievements for their progress.   As a member of EPTA I encourage them to participate in any appropriate events held by them such as the National Performance Programme, competitive and non competitive events.
